This is a reminder that tomorrow (Saturday) is High Silly Day for the Bristlebane Day event in EQ2 and there will be one-day only quests and achievements to earn!

I will also have an article out as time permits with tradeskill goodness from the upcoming Game Update, Empire of Antiquity, so stay tuned for that in a day or three.

March 23, 2023 - Event Overload 2023

Brewday ends in a few short hours. Bristlebane Day begins at the start of the 24th (Pacific time) and the article now has links to video previews at the bottom. (Remember that there will be one-day-only events on April 1 as well!)

Last, but not least, the last of the spring live events, the Beast'r Eggstravaganza is now on the Test server being tested before it is released on April 7.

March 14, 2023 - Bristlebane Day on Test

Chronoportals run through this Thursday (March 16, Pacific time) - Happy 24th Birthday to EQII! Brewday continues to run through March 22. Then, on March 24, the Bristlebane Day celebrations begin! Ouff! If you are a bit overwhelmed just reading of all the events going on in rapid succession, you are not alone! For those who complain each year asking why one or more is not "just" scheduled for another time, these in-game events are tied to real-world dates, so cannot really be adjusted much.

Regardless, event insanity season is upon us, and here is a preview of what is coming for Bristlebane Day!

February 26, 2023 - Preview Videos

Both the Chronoportals 2023 writeup and the Brewday 2023 writeup have been updated with house item preview videos from Ocarinah.

February 22, 2023 - Surprise Spell Research Sale

From now until the end of Feb. 28 (11:59 pm Pacific), there will be a 20% off (30% for members) sale on spell research in-game.

February 20, 2023 - Brewday 2023 and a Reminder

First, the reminder - Erollisi Day ends a minute before midnight Pacific on Wednesday (the 22nd). Get your shopping and questing done soon!

Next, Brewday 2023 is now on the Test server. It is a quieter event on the new item front this year, but I know of more than one person already plotting and planning designs using the new building block set!

February 17, 2023 - Chronoportals Preview from Test

We are hitting the time when events are overlapping on the Test server (and soon to be overlapping on the live servers as well!). First up is a quick look at the 2023 Chronoportals Phenomenon celebrating the anniversary of EverQuest. Soon (TM) I will also have a writeup ready for Brewday, which just hit the Test server, but it may take a couple days.

February 15, 2023 - Patch Goodness

The patch notes for today are large and intimidating. To make it easier, here are the items that impact crafters and decorators:

• Broker auto-unlist time increased to the next server restart after 28 days of being listed.
• The house will now remember the new position of the moving crate after using the /summon_movingcrate command.
• Corrected the name of Recipe: Enlivened Maul of the Sandswept Delta to reflect the product.
• Acrylia, Hua Jubilee, Shadowscream, and Void Etched mount equipment that give crafting bonuses now restrict based off of tradeskill level instead of adventure level.
• Corrected the stat values on the Renewal of Ro Coating, Injector, Insight, and Stratagem temporary adornments.
• Players creating love letters and love poems will no longer have the game speaking like a halfling, telling them that they're making letterses and poemses, Precious.
• The level 77 Woodworker writ and rush order will now ask for "Redwood Harvesting Kit" instead of "Compact Redwood Harvesting Kit"
• The following tradeskill rewards will no longer be able to be sold or transmuted: Cloak of the Harvester, Mark of the Far Seas, Girdle of the Vigilant, Armlet of Ethernere, ____'s Planar Adventures
• The sage recipes for Hizite snacks have been adjusted to be more in line with the previous expansion and will use fewer rares.
• The crafted desert music boxes now have more appropriate icons.The recipe name and item name for Beryllium Idol is now spelled correctly.
• Corrected an issue that prevented Advanced Ensorcelled Badlands, Advanced Takish, Advanced Delta recipe volumes from dropping from Renewal of Ro [Heroic III] boss encounters.

I mistakenly posted that Erollisi Day would start on February 2. Sorry about that! The 2023 Erollisi Day will begin on February 9.

January 22, 2023 - Erollisi Day on Test

Erollisi Day is on the Test server and I managed to whip up a small preview of the new things arriving with this yearly event. This event will go live on February 2, 2023 at 12:01 a.m. Pacific.

January 13, 2023 - EQII Housing Deals Over the Weekend

Proof that Friday the 13th is not all bad! There is a housing sale in EQII from now until 12:50 pm Pacific on the 16th featuring 20% off all houses and house items on the Marketplace. These deals will only last for a couple of days, so grab them while you can!

January 07, 2023 - Desert Music Boxes

The Raj'Dur Plateaus researcher will unlock the Desert Music Boxes recipe book next week. Since there is no other way to preview the music before you obtain the music boxes, here is a video that was made during beta that plays each of the eight tunes.
